Creator Terms of Service
Last updated: August 24, 2026
This page is available in Chinese and English. If the two differ, the English version prevails.
Welcome to niwo. These terms explain the rights and obligations of each side when you use niwo as a creator. By registering an account you confirm that you have read and agree to them.
1. What you need to qualify
- You are at least 18 years old and able to enter into an agreement on your own behalf.
- The account details you provide are your own, or you have the account owner's permission to use them.
- The content you publish on Douyin, Bilibili or Xiaohongshu was created by you or you hold the right to use it.
2. Your account and profile
You are responsible for keeping your account password secure. We only make public your creator ID and the public profile details you choose to fill in. Studios cannot see your email address.
If the information you provide is seriously inaccurate, for example inflating your follower count or using someone else's account, we may suspend or close your account.
3. Joining campaigns
Joining a campaign shows that you are interested in taking part. It does not oblige you to publish content. You can withdraw before publishing without any penalty.
Each campaign has content requirements set by the studio, such as a minimum length, mentioning the game's name, and labeling the content as promotional. These requirements are mandatory. Beyond them, how you create is entirely up to you, including editing, voiceover, titles and presentation style.
Suggested directions from a studio are for reference only. You are under no obligation to follow them, and not following them will not affect your earnings.
4. Content ownership
The content you create always belongs to you. niwo does not acquire ownership of your work.
To track view counts, showcase campaign results, carry out internal review on the platform, and for niwo reporting and marketing, you grant niwo and the studio running the campaign a free, non-exclusive licence to use the posts you submit to that campaign, including their links and public data. This does not transfer ownership of your work.
Game assets, activation codes and artwork supplied by a studio remain the property of that studio. You may use them within the scope of the campaign you joined, and may not use them for other commercial purposes once the campaign ends.
5. Earnings and payouts
Earnings are calculated from valid views at the rate set for the campaign. What counts as a valid view is determined by the platform's own statistics, and views below the campaign's threshold do not count toward earnings.
We pay your earnings only after niwo has received the studio's payment for that campaign, and within 15 days of that payment arriving, via WeChat, Alipay or bank card. The detailed conditions are in the Creator Agreement that applies when you accept a campaign.
A campaign budget is a fixed amount and is paid out on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the budget has been paid out, your content is still counted but no longer earns new payouts.
Joining niwo and taking part in campaigns are both free, and we do not take a commission from your earnings.
6. Flagged content and appeals
If your work breaks the campaign requirements, the studio may flag it. While a work is flagged, it stops earning.
You will be told the reason for the flag and can edit the work and file an appeal. If the appeal succeeds, the work resumes earning. If it does not, the work earns nothing and the corresponding budget returns to the campaign pool.
The following are not valid grounds for a flag: the studio dislikes your editing style, you did not follow a suggested direction, your numbers are disappointing, or you gave a negative but honest opinion of the game.
7. Prohibited conduct
- Artificially inflating view counts, for example through view farming or bought traffic.
- Re-posting a studio's assets as they are, without any editing.
- Publishing content that breaks the law or a platform's rules.
- Making clearly false statements about a game.
- Using multiple accounts to join the same campaign repeatedly in order to get past its earnings cap.
If any of this happens, we may cancel the related earnings and close your account.
8. Changes to these terms
If we make a material change to these terms, we will let you know by email or in-app notification. A change does not affect earnings you had already received before it took effect.
9. Governing law and the Creator Agreement
These terms are governed by Samoa law, and disputes are subject to the courts of Samoa.
When you accept a campaign, the Creator Agreement also applies to it. If these terms and the Creator Agreement differ, the Creator Agreement prevails.
