Running a campaign
Flags, appeals & requests
Because nothing is pre-approved, flagging is how you deal with a submission that breaks the rules. It is a corrective tool, not a review step.
Flagging
Flagging a submission makes it ineligible to earn until the issue is resolved. That is real money withheld from someone who has already done the work, so the bar should be an actual breach:
- The wrong link, or a duplicate submission
- Missing or inadequate sponsorship disclosure
- Content that breaks a campaign guideline
- Offensive material, or false claims about your game
- Evidence of bought or botted views
These are not reasons to flag: the edit is not to your taste, the creator ignored a talking point, the video underperformed, or you would have made different creative choices. Creative freedom is the deal — enforcing preferences through flags breaks it, and word travels fast among creators.
Criticism is not defamation. A creator saying an area feels unfinished is an opinion, and flagging it will cost you more in reputation than the video costs you in budget.
Appeals
A flagged creator is told what the problem is and can fix it, then appeal with an explanation. You can reply and keep the conversation going, lift the flag once it is resolved, or reject the appeal if it cannot be. Rejected submissions earn nothing, and the budget that had been allocated to them returns to the pool.
Requests
| Request | When it appears |
|---|---|
| Key or access | Automatic distribution has run out, the campaign hands out keys manually, or a creator wants an extra key for a giveaway. |
| Bonus batch | A creator has used their submissions and wants to keep making content for the campaign. |
You are never obliged to approve either. Look at what the creator has already delivered and what is left in the budget, then decide.
Reporting
The campaign dashboard tracks views, spend, effective CPM, engagement, platform split and per-creator performance while the campaign runs. You can share a live view with people who do not have dashboard access, and export the underlying data as CSV when you want to do your own analysis.
Effective CPM is the number worth watching: your gross spend divided by the views it actually bought. It is the honest comparison against any other channel you buy.
